2 Chronicles 30:1-13<\/span><\/strong>
\u00a0<\/span>
1\u00a0Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of the\u00a0Lord\u00a0at Jerusalem to keep the Passover to the\u00a0Lord, the God of Israel.\u00a02\u00a0For the king and his princes and all the assembly in Jerusalem had taken counsel to keep the Passover\u00a0in the second month\u2014\u00a03\u00a0for they could not keep it\u00a0at that time\u00a0because the priests had not consecrated themselves in sufficient number, nor had the people assembled in Jerusalem\u2014\u00a04\u00a0and the plan seemed right to the king and all the assembly.\u00a05\u00a0So they decreed to make a proclamation throughout all Israel,\u00a0from Beersheba to Dan, that the people should come and keep the Passover to the\u00a0Lord, the God of Israel, at Jerusalem, for they had not kept it as often as prescribed.\u00a06\u00a0So couriers went throughout all Israel and Judah with letters from the king and his princes, as the king had commanded, saying, \u201cO people of Israel,\u00a0return to the\u00a0Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, that he may turn again to the remnant of you who have escaped from the hand of\u00a0the kings of Assyria.\u00a07\u00a0Do not be like your fathers and your brothers, who were faithless to the\u00a0Lord\u00a0God of their fathers, so that he made them a desolation, as you see.\u00a08\u00a0Do not now be stiff-necked as your fathers were, but yield yourselves to the\u00a0Lord\u00a0and come to his sanctuary, which he has consecrated forever, and serve the\u00a0Lord\u00a0your God,\u00a0that his fierce anger may turn away from you.\u00a09\u00a0For\u00a0if you return to the\u00a0Lord, your brothers and your children\u00a0will find compassion with their captors and return to this land. For\u00a0the\u00a0Lord\u00a0your God is gracious and merciful and will not turn away his face from you,\u00a0if you return to him.\u201d<\/p>

10\u00a0So the couriers went from city to city through the country of\u00a0Ephraim and Manasseh, and as far as Zebulun, but\u00a0they laughed them to scorn and mocked them.\u00a011\u00a0However,\u00a0some men of Asher, of Manasseh, and of Zebulun humbled themselves and came to Jerusalem.\u00a012\u00a0The hand of God was also on Judah to give them one heart to do what the king and the princes commanded\u00a0by the word of the\u00a0Lord.<\/p>

13\u00a0And many people came together in Jerusalem to keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread\u00a0in the second month, a very great assembly.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Hezekiah sent out messengers to Israel and Judah inviting people to the Passover celebration. This summer Jesus sent more than two hundred messengers to the ports of the western Mediterranean Sea inviting North Africans to His Passover.\u00a0 Invitations came through New Testaments, Magdalena and JESUS Film DVDs, Josh McDowell\u2019s More than a Carpenter, and children\u2019s Wonder Books along with words spoken by the participants who were trained to witness with a Muslim.

The messengers went forth with authority.\u00a0 Often local officials stood opposed, but Jesus, \u201cwho opens doors that no one can shut\u201d and who sent the messengers with \u201call authority in heaven and earth,\u201d enabled many to continue to receive the “invitations” to the Passover Lamb.
\u00a0
Many North Africans who were offered the “invitations”, \u201claughed them to scorn\u201d; often hindering other North Africans from accepting.\u00a0 Yet, as seen by the numbers distributed and the stories of the next column, \u201csome men\u2026 humbled themselves\u201d accepting packets. \u00a0A good number of these indicated receiving Christ into their lives.\u00a0

The stories that follow include the on-going witness of people impacted by previous years\u2019 outreach. No one knows the date of Jesus\u2019 return.\u00a0 It looks to be soon.\u00a0 Soon or not, when we meet in heaven there will be \u201ca very great assembly\u201d among which will be countless North Africans.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
