Crecimiento y Cambio<\/h1>\n

En 1993, el primer a\u00f1o de distribuci\u00f3n, se distribuyeron 35.000 Nuevos Testamentos. El numero distribuido se triplico en 1994 y se triplico nuevamente en 1995. Con el incremento se expandi\u00f3 la distribuci\u00f3n a otros puertos. Para el a\u00f1o 2000 la distribuci\u00f3n total en ese a\u00f1o excedi\u00f3 el mill\u00f3n con el m\u00e1ximo alcanzado en 2002, el cual coincidi\u00f3 con la aceptaci\u00f3n que generaron los eventos del 9 de noviembre. La distribuci\u00f3n que sigui\u00f3 en Algeciras fue como un milagro. La inexplicable invasi\u00f3n de una peque\u00f1a isla deshabitada de Espa\u00f1a permiti\u00f3 alcanzar un r\u00e9cord en Algeciras ese verano y ese a\u00f1o.    <\/p>\n

24-7 distribution had to be curtailed in Algeciras following the 2003 terrorist attacks in Casablanca; Almeria faced similar difficulties following the 2004 terrorist attacks in Madrid. Distribution still takes place at both ports yet without every traveler being offered materials.<\/p>\n

En el verano de 1997 uno de los lideres expres\u00f3 la necesidad de que m\u00e1s cristianos de medio oriente dieran testimonio, durante la distribuci\u00f3n de material, porque muchos estar\u00edan listos a responder. From the project\u2019s inception,  priority has been given to follow-up, discipleship, and training. Recipients of materials received a form publicizing other ways to hear the gospel. Some attribute the initial success of SAT7, Arabic Christian satellite broadcasting, within Morocco and Algeria to the publicity it received at the ports. These publicity forms included opportunities to contact Christians and\/or enroll in Bible correspondence courses.  Hundreds responded every year.    <\/p>\n

North African believers were involved as early as 1993, the first year of distribution. Training of North Africans to share their faith, do follow-up, and further disciple others began in 1995 in Algeciras. In 1997 this training took place in Marseilles and later moved to Malta where more North African residents could participate. By 2002 the national believers themselves preferred doing their own training in various locations either with or aside from Operation Transit.   <\/p>\n
